This policy explains how the Vietnam Society of Clinical Research (VNSCR) handles personal data when you visit vnscr.org, email us or become a member, under Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law.
1. Who is responsible
The Vietnam Society of Clinical Research (VNSCR) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: info@vnscr.org.
2. When you visit vnscr.org
You can read all of vnscr.org without signing up or giving us any personal information. The site:
- Has no forms that collect information.
- Uses no cookies.
- Uses no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- Serves its own fonts and images, so your browser does not fetch them from third parties.
When you open the home page, the site reads your browser's language setting to send you to the Vietnamese or English version. This is not stored.
3. Technical data
Like any website, the server needs some technical data to deliver pages to you: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our web hosting provider (Vercel) processes this data to run the site and protect it from abuse. VNSCR does not use it to identify you or combine it with other data.
4. When you email us
If you write to info@vnscr.org, we receive your email address, your name (if given) and your message. We use them only to reply and handle your request, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your consent. Messages are stored with our email provider.
5. When you become a member
Sign-up and sign-in happen in the member portal (members.vnscr.org). There we collect your email, password (hashed), full name, city / province of residence, current position and some optional details about where you work. This data is stored on Supabase servers in Singapore.

7. Transfers outside Vietnam
The providers above run servers outside Vietnam; member portal data is stored in Singapore. This is a transfer of personal data outside Vietnam; VNSCR carries it out in line with Vietnamese personal data protection law and uses only providers with appropriate data protection safeguards.
8. Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to be informed about how your data is processed; to view, correct and get a copy of your data; to withdraw consent and ask for deletion; to object to or restrict processing; and to complain, report or take legal action as provided by law.
To use these rights, email info@vnscr.org. We will respond within the time the law requires.
9. Links to other sites
vnscr.org may link to other organizations' websites, such as regulators or guidance documents. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which VNSCR does not control.
10. Changes
When this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes that affect members, we will notify them in the member portal or by email.
